“Whatever your issue is, the solution is not in the fridge.”

Are you thinking about starting a weight-loss journey? If so, there are a few things you need to know before you get started. This blog post will discuss 19 essential tips that will help set you up for success. Losing weight can be challenging, but it is definitely doable with the correct information and preparation!

Because I have an incurable autoimmune disease, I must maintain a healthy weight. So my mission is to help anyone struggling with weight loss find the right path.

These tips are based on my personal experience and what has worked for me in the past. But please keep in mind that everyone is different, and what works for me may not work for you. So be sure to experiment and find what works best for you!

Okay, are you ready? Let’s get started!

Before starting your weight-loss path, it is vital to have a clear goal in mind. What do you want to achieve? Do you want to lose a certain amount of weight or tone up? Having a specific plan in mind will help keep you motivated throughout the process.

It is also essential to set realistic expectations to slim down. It is not easy, and it will take time and effort. So don’t expect to lose 20 pounds in one week – that’s just not going to happen!😩 Or it will!

To achieve your goals, you need to create a plan and stick to it. What steps do you need to take to reach your goal? Write them down and put them into action!

One of the most important things you can do for your weight-loss journey is getting enough protein. Protein helps keep you feeling full and satisfied, which can help you stay on route with your diet.

And lastly, be patient! Weight loss is a process, and it will not happen overnight. So don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results right away.

So, if you’re ready to get started, here are the top things you need to do before your weight loss plan.

19 tips to start before weight loss:

Tip #01 Get mentally prepared

It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to start and begin your weight-loss journey; make sure you are mentally prepared for the challenge ahead. It means setting realistic goals, staying positive, and plotting a plan of action. If you are ready to commit to change, you are prepared to lose weight!

I need to reset my mind, body, and soul completely to start the weight loss goals. I need to make sure that I am eating healthfully, not depriving myself of anything (except for processed foods 😉), working out regularly, getting enough sleep, and most importantly, staying positive! It is a lot of work, but it is so worth it in the end! And to be honest, I tell myself every night before bed that I will wake up tomorrow and keep to my routine, so it’s like a mental preparation each night.

Tip #02: Make a plan

If you want to be successful with weight loss, it is crucial to have a plan. That means deciding what you will eat, working out, and handling potential setbacks.

Having a plan will help you stay on the path and avoid getting overwhelmed.

Remember that a diet cannot be a whim but a tool to permanently change eating habits! This is the only way to enjoy the results forever. If you need a little help, find out what I would use to succeed in my weight loss path.

Tip#03: Losing weight don’t have to be time consuming

Make sure that you have enough time set aside to focus on your weight-loss goals. Of course, you will need a little time since you will eat better. There are plenty of simple recipes you can cook in under 30 min, and the significant thing is that you don’t have to go to the gym daily for hours. You can break it up into three short 20-minute workouts throughout your week, and that is good enough!

One of the biggest things that held me back from becoming thinner in the past was the thought that I would have to spend hours at the gym daily. But this is not true! There are plenty of ways to lose weight without spending hours doing physical activity. In fact, you can easily fit in a workout routine by using short burst workouts or by simply taking a walk every day.

Tip #04: Don’t diet-start eating!

One of the people’s biggest mistakes when slimming down is eating a restrictive or cutting food to almost nothing. This type of plan can be tricky, and it often leads to feelings of deprivation and frustration. Rather than dieting, focus on making lifestyle changes that you can sustain over the long term.

Crash diets and other restrictive dieting methods can be harmful to your health and are often unsustainable. These diets often lead to weight gain once the diet is over. Rather than following a restrictive diet, focus on making healthy dietary changes that you can keep to long-term.

Tip #05: Set realistic goals

It is essential to set realistic goals when it comes to weight loss. Trying to lose too much weight too quickly can be counterproductive and lead to disappointment. Instead, aim to lose about 2- 3 pounds weight per week. This will help ensure that you healthily lose weight and don’t put your health at risk.

I remember being disappointed that after a month of dieting, I just lost 10 pounds and was so hungry all the time. So keep in mind to choose a beneficial diet that will benefit you long-term.

Tip #06: Make gradual changes

When making changes to your diet and exercise routine, it is essential to make gradual changes, and this will help ensure that you stick with these new habits in the long run. Trying to change too many things at once can be overwhelming and lead to failure.

Start by making small changes, such as adding an extra serving of vegetables to your dinner or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Once these new habits become routine, you can add more challenging changes to your routine.

Tip #07: Find a weight-loss buddy

One of the best ways to stay motivated when trying to lose weight is to find a weight-loss buddy(make sure it is not your man😊). This is someone who can help keep you accountable and on the way and who will also provide moral support when things get tough. It is much easier to reach your goals when you have someone to lean on.

Weight reduction can be difficult, especially if you are doing it independently. This is why it is vital to find a supportive network of family and friends who can help you stay motivated and on track. These people can offer encouragement when things get tough and provide helpful tips and advice.

Tip #08: Don’t starve yourself

When it comes to weight loss, starving yourself is not the answer, and this can be counterproductive and may lead to weight gain in the long run. Rather than depriving yourself of food, focus on eating balanced meals packed with nutrients.

I used to starve myself all day to eat whatever I wanted at night. But I finally realized that it wasn’t an answer.

Make sure you are getting enough protein.

It is essential to ensure that you get enough protein slim down. Protein helps keep you feeling full and satisfied, which can help you stay on the path with your diet. Include a source of protein in every meal and snack.

Tip #09: Make time for exercise

It is crucial to make time for exercise. This doesn’t mean you have to spend hours at the gym every day; a moderate amount of exercise is all you need to see results. Try to aim for at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity or a perfect HIIT workout per day, and make sure that you include strength training in your routine as well. Don’t overdo it, and you will only end up discouraged.

Now I try to exercise every day (or every other day) for at least 30 minutes, but I used to be so lazy and didn’t want to do anything that would make me sweat. But after a while, I realized that if I wanted to see results, I needed to make time for it in my daily routine.

Tip #10: Eat a healthy diet

It is essential to eat a healthy diet. This means consuming plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains. It is also important to limit processed foods, sugary drinks, and unhealthy fats. If you are not sure what a healthy diet looks like, consult a nutritionist or dietitian for advice. But I have something better and cheaper if you like to try. It is an easy and step-by-step plan to get you started. The beginning is hard on your own, so don’t be shy and start with the program I use and really love.

Tip #11: Drink plenty of water

It is crucial to have plenty of water. Water helps keep you feeling full and can help reduce cravings for unhealthy foods. It is also essential for pretty skin and hair, and it can help improve your mood. Make sure to drink at least eight glasses of water per day and more if you are active or live in a warm climate like me.

Water can help boost your metabolism, and it also helps flush out toxins from the body.

I know it is boring 😩 and you heard this so many times, and of course, we all know drinking water is essential for cleansing and detoxing our body and melting off weight as well, but how many of us really drink the recommended daily amount? I’m pretty sure most people don’t. But trust me, drinking enough water can make a huge difference to become slimmer.

Tip from me if you are not a big water drinker (like me). I will make my water more interesting by adding lemon, cucumber, orange, ginger, or mint. What about you?

Tip #12: Avoid temptations

Avoid temptation if you like to slim down. This means steering clear of unhealthy foods and drinks and avoiding situations where you are likely to overeat. If you know that a portion of particular food or drink will tempt you, try to avoid it altogether or find a healthier alternative.

One of the biggest challenges when trying to lose weight is resisting temptation. This means avoiding unhealthy foods and drinks and steering clear of situations that may lead to overeating. It can be challenging, but you can do it with a bit of willpower! Just tell yourself is that hard work now will pay off in the long run.

Tip #13: Stay positive

Stay positive if you like to reduce weight. This means staying motivated and focused on your goals and avoiding negative thoughts or self-criticism. It is also important to celebrate your successes, no matter how small they seem. Please always remember you are doing this for yourself, no one else.

I struggle, especially when I have a bad day or don’t see any results from my hard work. It’s so easy to get down on yourself, but you have to remember why you’re doing this in the first place. Stay positive and stay focused on your goals!

Tip #14: Get enough sleep

If you want to lose weight, it is essential to get enough sleep. When you are well-rested, your body can metabolize food more efficiently, and you are less likely to indulge in unhealthy foods.

Make sure you get at least seven hours of sleep per night to see results. When you are tired, your body releases the hormone ghrelin, which causes hunger and cravings. Getting enough sleep will help keep your hormones in balance and prevent cravings.

Lack of sleep is one of the biggest obstacles to losing weight, and this can make it challenging to stick to your diet.

Tip #15: it’s not a punishment to lose weight

Many people view weight loss as a punishment. Dieting is not fun, and it can be downright miserable if you are constantly feeling deprived. This is why it is crucial to find a way of eating that you can stick with for the long haul. Rather than dieting, focus on making healthy lifestyle changes that you can sustain over the long term. This will help ensure that you healthily lose weight and don’t put your health at risk.

You will be more likely to succeed when you positively approach weight loss, so don’t stress yourself. Stress can lead to feelings of deprivation and frustration.

Tip #16: Avoid diet traps

There are many diet traps out there that can prevent losing weight. These include restrictive no-eating diets, juice cleanses, and fad diets. It is important to avoid these traps if you like to weigh healthily and stand by to tried-and-true methods like eating healthy foods and exercising regularly. If you need help, try this method I love.

Tip #17: Don’t compare yourself to others

It is important not to compare yourself to others when trying to lose weight. This includes comparing your body type, weight, and progress to other people’s. When you focus on comparisons, you are more likely to become discouraged and give up. Instead, focus on your journey and celebrate your accomplishments along the way.

The one time of my dieting journey, I did it with my hubby to compare and stay motivated. But guess what? Of course, he lost much more weight in a shorter time than me because men always drop weight quicker than women.

Tip #18: Take it one step at a time

When trying to lose weight, it is essential to take things one step at a time. This means setting small goals and focusing on one thing at a time. When you try to do too much, you are more likely to become overwhelmed and give up altogether. Start with one healthy habit and work your way up from there. keep some of

Tip #19: Don’t give up!

The most important thing to remember when trying to lose weight is not to give up! If you fall off the way, don’t beat yourself up – just get back on your way and keep moving forward. To get thinner is a marathon, not a sprint, so be patient and stay focused on your goals.
